Is a window base word processing application package used for the production of documents.
Microsoft word is all about
creating a document, arranging the document and saving the document.

1.It is used by secretary to prepare reports.

FEATURES/ELEMENT
OF MS WORD WINDOW

1.TITLE BAR: Displays the name of the current program you are working with and it also display the name of the current file you are working with. Such as the name you used in saving your work.
2.MENU BAR: Are those bar or tap that are located under the title bar.
3.CONTROL BUTTON: Located at the top right side of your ms word window. It contains three signs.
4.RULER BAR: We have horizontal and vertical ruler bar.
5.SCROLL BUTTON: Used for viewing the down and up page of your document by moving the scroll button up and down.
6.STATUS BAR: A tiny bar located at the top of your task bar. It mainly contains the number of pages you have and the number of words in your document.
7.ZOOM TOOL: Used for viewing your page in smaller and larger view.
8.OFFICE BUTTON: Is known as the back stage view, located at the top left area of your document window. Mainly contains the: save as, save, open etc.

TO CREATE A DOCUMENT
Before you start creating a
document, you must set up your page first.
1.Click on page layout menu
2.Click on size (e.g. A4, A3 etc)
3.Click on the paper size you want.

In terms of orientation we
are talking about landscape and portrait.

3.Click on the one you want to use.

TO EDIT A DOCUMENT
Editing a document simply
means making corrections to your document such as adding more words to your
documents or removing some words from your documents.

TO SAVE A DOCUMENT
1.Click on office button
2.Click on save as (A dialog box appears)
3.Type your file name
4.Click on save.

ADDITIONAL SAVING
Remember after saving your
document for the first time and you keep on adding more words to your work, in
order for you to have the added work saved together with the first one you must
pres CONTROL + S which means additional saving or subsequent saving.

NOTE:
If you have not save the document, a dialog box will appear asking you whether
to save the document or not. Now to save the document you click on YES. But if you don’t want to save it,
you click on NO.

Copy means making a copy from the original folder or text, the original remains while paste will enable you to see the copy of the copied folder or text. Or copy also means using the original one to make a duplicate.

To password a document
means applying password to your document which is more important to you, so
that no one can have access to that document.

3.Type your name in the file name box
4.Click on tools
5.Click on general option
6.Type in the password to use in opening your document in the password to open space, do the same to password to modify
7.Click on Ok
8.Reenter password to open
9.Click on Ok
10.Reenter password to modify

NOTE:
After all this done, close your document then try opening the document, it will
request for password. To open the document type in the correct password then
the document will open.

6.Point and right click on the picture in your page
